Taken from the MLB.com preview...
Right-hander Ivan Nova will make his fourth start for the Pirates since being acquired in a trade from the Yankees when he faces rookie righty Joe Musgrove and the Astros on Tuesday at PNC Park.
Nova is 2-0 with a 4.41 ERA in his first three starts with the Pirates, including a four-inning no-decision on Wednesday at San Francisco. He went 7-6 with a 4.90 ERA in 21 games (15 starts) with the Yankees before the trade.
Things to know:
• Cuban slugger Yulieski Gurriel is expected to make his first start in the field on Tuesday after sitting out Monday's game. Gurriel, who has tightness in his right hamstring, made his big league debut as the designated hitter on Sunday at Baltimore and singled in his first at-bat.
• Entering Monday, Pirates starting pitchers had combined to go 7-6 with a 3.63 ERA in August -- the second-lowest ERA for starters in the NL (Cubs have a 1.91 ERA).
• Carlos Correa has 83 RBIs as a shortstop this season. He is three shy of Miguel Tejada's club record for RBIs as a shortstop -- 86 in 2009.

Had to start this early before that douchebag jinxes us.
I think you misunderstood him there hoss. He was saying that he hadn't posted in a DAT before the game actually started and today he was going to change that. He wasn't planning on stealing your thread.
Also, please include the time in the thread title so we don't get the anchor by chicken.

Approved Daily threads must have the date, the matchup and the time in the title...if not, they will be anchored...

Not sure why he got by with yesterday's title. I just know chicken was giving the DAT the anchor treatment pretty frequently at the beginning of the season.

Pretty sure he's posted it the same way since he started this streak.

Ashby is the antithesis of Hawthorne.
Someone tweet them and tell them their leanings on calls are supposed to be with the Astros.

I mean, to be fair, originally I thought it was a flyout too. McCutchen was just kind of lazily tracking a fly ball, all of a sudden the fans start gathering around trying to catch it.

Plus the booths in Pitt are literally at the top of the stadium. I can see how that would be tough to judge and also cutch was kind of loafing like he was coasting for an easy catch.

Hunch said valbaw not looking good for this season. Also said if LMJ can't start a throwing program by end of next home stand he will be very concerned.
