Should be a fun series with the #2 and #3 best records in baseball squaring off, although tons of star power won't be participating

We avoid Scherzer but will atleast get to see a Keuchel vs Strasburg showdown on Thursday

Winning 2/3 would be fantastic. 1/3 won't be end of the world

Correa and Lance both making progress and will hopefully be seeing a rehab stint in the near future. I believe we should get both Catchers back this week and Harris should be returning soon as long as his rehab stint goes accordingly

PS tKing continues to rake in Fresno even though he should be in Houston

Finally...Forrest Whitley since June 11th:

12 G, 1.96 ERA, 1.94 FIP, 55.0 IP, 42 H, 19 BB, 89 K, 14.6 K/9

There *must* be something we don't know about why he is still down at Fresno instead of that Stevie Wonder play-like fella.

I have to admit, Whitley is beginning to get me a little excited about the future.

If we can't win a game while they are missing Sherzer and harper we need to fold up the tents.

Nobody wants to face the truth. I'm glad pallio is back on air because he tells it plainly and doesn't kiss the organizations arse. I wish more of Our fans held the organization accountable for their bullshite instead Of mindlessly repeating in lunhow we trust. This mentality is why we have never won shite.

If I view something as hopeless or a lost cause, I usually just stop paying attention to it. If you honestly feel that way, give that a try.

Did Lunhow frick up? Yes

Has our bats mostly disappeared lately? Yes

Does Hinch sometimes let St Louis Cardinals mgmt pick our lineup? Yes

BUT

Our pitching is much improved.

Players are coming back soon.

And we are still on pace to have maybe the best season in Astros history.

If I only read your posts I would think we didn't have a legit major league talent in the organization and we were on pace for 20 wins.

Right. Yesterday he was quoted as saying:

quote:

CM: You've said that baseball is your first sports love. Are you excited to come back in a pennant chase season?

CP: Absolutely. The Astros could win the World Series. Of course, they could also get bounced in the Division Series. Combine that with football about to start, the timing of my getting back on air is not mere coincidence.

He tells it plainly...rationally. They could win the world series. Or they could not. But I've haven't heard him say they could win since Clemens/Pettite/Oswald, so I guess he hasn't "faced the truth" yet either.

Did you listen to his whole show?

Yes we could get lucky and win it but the organization didn't do. Everything he could to increase the chances and there was a clear carryover effect to the teams morale. That is undeniable.

It was a written interview with Ken Hoffman.

=/= "Fold up the tents" and "face the truth". You're hedging, and rightfully so. The FO fricked up. The FO decreased the clubs chance to win it all. That's undeniable. But they didn't end the season. Still in 1st. Still the best offense in baseball. And still a ways to go before serious games start.

I really don't care at this point. Your schtick is your schtick. But I understand some DAT posters desire for you to be more fan and less caricature. But I guess it says something for your consistency that you are the same poster whether we're in 1st place or last. If you just assume we'll always suck, it's hard to get too disappointed.

Hinch on mlbn radio. LMJ had a live session yesterday going to meet with him today and if he feels good will go to corpus to rehab. Sent a bus yesterday to corpus with Harris Gattis feliz and sipp.

Most of the people here aren't in Houston so they don't listen to Houston radio. They don't know who Pallilo is, unfortunately.
