Had a chance to catch some American Legion games with some kids I know that came back home from FR year of college ball

Definitely more enjoyable at this point

Astros organization does seem to get it though

They have put these games to good use with young pitching and a couple of utility type guys

Didn't realize things seemed so bleak this morning. Wasn't able to catch anything but the score yesterday. How did Lance pitch last night?

@AstrosGrande
Small sample, but numbers are staggering. #Astros rookies (33.2IP) account for over half the innings pitched by the club this season (67IP).

That nine-man group of rookies owns a 1.33 ERA (5ER/33.2IP).

This seems good...

It’s good that the young pitchers are getting good experience early. And it’s good they are performing so well. That’s a big positive going forward.

Meh to not so hot. Didn’t help that blue’s zone was a soup can.

Winnable? I don’t think it’s even playable.

Even the DAT threads are half assed this season

In a normal year, this thread would be 7 pages long by now.

Correct me if I’m wrong, Tucker has gone from lead off, to 8 hole, to clean up over the last three games.

I’ve been asking someone to put him on the COVID reserve list for at least 5-7 years now. Maybe nows a good time.

So Astros fans, a lot of people in the industry believe the Astros cannot sustain a 180-200m payroll which will eventually lead to cuts. How do you feel? For 2020 with the reduction in payroll the Astros ranked 4th, next year they rank 7th and that is before some tough decisions on Brantley, Verlander, etc...

It sounds like Pressly could pitch this weekend per Baker. Also, the Astros officially announced the signing of Fernando Rodney
