Leave this type of stuff on the PT board. We don't need a bunch of those lib shills and bots coming in and shitting on the DAT.

That said... Canadian bacon sucks.

Tuve is currently in 9th all time Astros with 1153 hits thru 7 years.

It is both remarkable how good he has been. He probably finishes in the top five just above Berkman and Cedeno by the end of his contract if he stays at his current pace of 200 a year.

pay the man

side-note: Biggio was really good. People forget that. First ballet in my mind no matter what really happened

We will see if he holds up long term. Not sure if he will be as durable as Biggio but his prime will be better.

I said it in the thread last night but Altuve's year so far is almost identical to the year he had last year. Pretty crazy

I didn't realize Zach Britton came back last night. He would be extremely expensive and is just back from a forearm injury but could totally change what our pen looks like. Would y'all rather go after him (giving up a lot) and go after a starter not as good as Gray? Or empty the farm for both?

Not sure Brittons contract status but he would be costly. Of he has any control left at all he would be extremely costly. He's better than Giles tho.

I think he's a free agent after next season. He would definitely cost a lot. He would also give us a guy on par with Jansen, Kimbrel, Miller, Chapman if he's healthy. I'm not necessarily advocating trading for him and who knows if Baltimore wants to even sell (they're 4 games out of the WC). But we should probably ask just to see if he is and what it would take.

I think Doolittle is awesome too, and we know he's available and would probably be cheaper than Britton.

So jb bukauskas hasn't signed yet. I'm trying to keep my composure but I'm having trouble

This is the same type of stuff a lot of people said about Pedroia when he first came up. With the exception of a couple of injury years, his talent has maintained a steady slash line.

I think Altuve has a very good shot of surpassing Biggio in status as the Best Astro. The only thing preventing it will be Altuve's next contract.

Jim Callis said they other day he expects all the first rounders to sign.

An Astro exec said yesterday they expect he'll sign. Have until like 5pm tomorrow?

News out of Atlanta this morning. Outfield fence being replaced.
To many dents after Astros came to town.

I just did some quick math, so far we only have 3 players in our top 10 not to sign (slot value in parenthesis):

JB (3,588,200)
Pap (141,600)
Serrano (133,500)

If Pap and Serrano sign for slot, we can offer JB 3,819,200 or 231,000 over slot.

Bukauskus tweeted he was on his way to Houston at 5am this morning.

I'm guessing medicals this morning then sign tomorrow or late this evening. Serrano is said to be heavily leaning on going back to Tenn. Some are saying it would take $300k+ signing bonus to convince him. Astros have $3.8m in the pool to sign both
