Jake doesn't even know how to keep gappers from bouncing over the fence so he can use his speed.

Maybe not a straight platoon. Springer can play CF while Santana can play RF. Mix-and-match stuff.

Santana could provide a boost and/or improve his own trade value. You have Rasmus to play CF, so this move is smart.
Like I wrote earlier today, let Jake work on his plate discipline every day in AAA. Give him specific areas to improve upon because he will not make it as a major leaguer the way he hacks, K's and fails to reach base.
