Haha yeah I read all that. By any measure, Carter has earned his keep for a few weeks now though. So has Gattis.

The area of focus now are clearly 3B (Lowrie on the way) and Jake Marisnick.

Altuve has not had a great 6 weeks and if he is hampered by hamstring he loses his best assett...speed.

Also he has a higher wRC+ than Altuve!

Why does everyone pick on Carter!

He's good, forget that every other measure says he's a below average starting 1B!

You don't understand wRC+. It is magical and beautiful

I am interested to see how long a leash they give Jake. Sending him down and calling up Santana would seem to be the next significant roster move

Not sure that happens. Santana is trade bait for landing a nice pitching piece

Well, I think what happens first is Rasmus starts to play 80% of the time over Marisnick. If Colby plays well (he's been better versus LHP than RHP shockingly), nothing changes.

BTW, MLB first basemen the last 30 days. Carter has been really productive. LINK

Yeah Carter has been solid the last month or so. As long as he doesn't have another stretch like he did to start the year I am fine with rolling with him through the rest of this year at 1B and seeing what the offseason brings

Rasmus is a far superior player to marisnick.

Oh sure, but the question becomes, do we want Santana or even Kemp as part of the OF platoon over Jake?

I def think Tucker-LF Rasmus-CF Springer- RF needs to be the go to lineup in the OF, especially vs lefties

Exactly. And we know Jake as a defensive 4th OF has value, but wouldn't he be better off playing every day in Fresno while trying to work on plate discipline? There's still hope for him, but he cannot be experimenting in a pennant race.

I think a certain someone in the DATs need to stop latching on to these younger guys. Whoever he's mancrushing on eventually gets a DFA.

I'm just sayin' is all.

wait... so we like Carter again and no longer want him traded for a case of Miller Lite and a big foam "We're #1" finger?

And we no longer like Marisnick?

And is Jabroni now a good nick name, or bad nick name?

Omar fricking Infante is now leading at second base for the All Star game

How rich would it be if Royals fans keep this up, send out their lineup against a legitimate NL all star team and end up fricking themselves out of home field advantage in the world series. I mean Omar Infante?

I didn't say like him. Haha. I said he is earning his keep at the moment.

Just like Jake, for the most part, is not earning his keep.

And Jabroni will always be his nickname as an Astro. If he gets sent down, it becomes McFresno.

Holy Crap if that gif isn't the epitome of the DAT.

Every DAT should open with that gif.

How come I never see you dudes talk about this Chris Devenski guy?

7-0 with a 0.65 ERA and 0.91 WHIP at Corpus this year. What am I missing? Is he just lucky?
