Haven't heard anything on that, but they are throwing another lefty.

Maris nick is dog crap.against LHP.I don't get it. Injury is the only thing that makes sense to sit him 2 days in a row

It could be a lack of lineup flexibility with Altuve out. We are short on position players so saving Tucker's bat for a late-game situation makes sense over having zero legit options on the bench.

But it's clear Jake has sucked while the team has struggled vs. LHP. Disturbing trend for a right-handed hitter!

With Kemp and Santana raking in Fresno, time's got to be running out on Marisnick.

3 straight change ups in the dirt will strike Marisnick out. He chases so many bad pitches

Yeah, his plate recognition is almost a joke. We all really want Jake to succeed, but he needs to watch how Springer and Carter are growing as hitters who work counts. If he doesn't learn to do that, he'll end up a AAAA player despite Gold Glove potential.

So what's been going on with the Stros lately? Haven't been able to watch them. Are they looking sloppy like seasons past? New shortstop got the chemistry jacked up? Why the losing?

Just looked it up. Jake is 11 for 78 in the last month while striking out 38% of the time. Can't believe that will get him too much more run in the lineup.

Anyone else feel like Correa has been getting a lot of first pitches right down the pipe? It seems like he always takes the first pitch and most of the time it's pretty hittable. Obviously he is good at working counts and getting his pitch but I think there is potential for even more success if he got aggressive on the first pitch

It think he has seen a lot of first pitch off-speed pitches this week. People already fear his ability to crush fastballs. Maybe he just wants pitchers to prove they can throw that breaking ball for strike one.

That's true, it's been impressive how much respect pitchers are already giving him

This has to be it. Should send back to AA and call up Villar to get the chemistry back right again.

Always has a different feel to it when you have a stud pitcher than a guy like Jabroni (I know he's in a particularly rough stretch, but still). Hope McCullers can keep the momentum going.

McHugh looks done to me. I am hoping Strom can fix him but he has sucked all season.

There was an article yesterday about Mchugh and Strom and Hinch say they will be looking at his posture, they don't think he's getting full extension towards the plate. Hopefully they can figure something out next time around
