So with Dominguez going away does Moran get called up to Fresno yet? I know he just came back from injury and has been doing OK but not great and not showing much power

I don't disagree.

It was interesting when JL was explaining the move to let go of Matt Dominguez, he said, look, we have Valbuena and Lowrie is coming back soon and Moran is coming up so this isn't the best organization for him….

he lumped Lowrie in with the 3b. I think the plan has to be to have Lowrie play 3rd when he comes back. that allows you a power LH bat on the bench with Valbuena and you could also start Lowrie at 1B and Valbuena at 3b against certain pitchers if you want.

Yeah, 3B is clearly the plan for Lowrie if/when/until Moran is ready.

Any guesses as to the lineup tonight against Sale? Here is what I would do:

Springer RF
Altuve 2b
Gattis DH
Carter 1b
Correa SS
Rasmus LF
Villar 3B
Conger C
Marisnick CF

He could also start Marwin at 3b and VIllar in LF. Sale is nasty on LH hitters

Yeah, I would go all righties because it's Sale.

I'd flip flop Rasmus & Correa for tonight.

Villar can protect him now while he's hot. Obviously it's not a long term solution though

We still need another move on the 25 man, correct? Or will they put that off until Wednesday and officially add VV at that time?

Dominguez wasn't on the 25 man, he clears room for Correa on the 40 man. Or am I missing something?

I still think we need to move someone on the 25 man. Correa and VV up to the bigs, Buchanan down. Someone else will need to leave the big club to make room

You missed nothing, they still need to move a 25 man roster spot for VV

Cubs fan here...but I dig the Astros right now. Very exciting times in Houston. Looking forward to seeing Correa highlights soon.

Actually that's right.

Fausto to the bullpen means we do have to send one more down.

my guess is Thatcher or Thatcher

Yeah the lineup discussion above had me wondering, I guess they could keep both Marwin and Villar up for a couple days before officially adding VV.

After Feliz, Musgrove might be the next pitcher in the pipeline.
