We're on FOX tonight, just an FYI

Will there be a crowning for a young rookie tonight? Stay tuned....
Feel like half our call ups start off hot before taking their lumps. Moran really the only one who made no difference. So don't take that as having high expectations for Reed right off the bat

Put Myers in LF. Add Pomeranz to the trade

I'm all for not trading any top prospects but I would like to add a #2 or #3 pitcher. I realize we don't have an ace but still think Fiers and McHugh are more like #4's. I guess it also depends on our plans for Musgrove

Isnt Fister only a 1 yr deal? Wonder how much it would cost to resign him. Him and Dallas would be a good 2 and 3.

I feel like the good thing of Reed compared to the other guys is: a) he's more talented and b) he doesn't need to "get power happy".
Tyler white ruined himself trying to hit HRs, all we needed from him was to hit for average and get on base.
If reed can come and hit .250 or so with power, I'd be more than satisfied.
I think Matt Adams is a good comp and Reed walks more than he does.

I probably wouldn't sign Fister to another deal. The results he's had are great but his FIP numbers aren't great. They also have a lot of internal options that can start for us next year. Keuchel, McHugh, Fiers, Feliz, Rodgers, Musgrove, Paulino, Devenski off the top of my head. If Fister wants to sign the exact same contract as this year ($7MM with incentives) then sure, and if it doesn't work out he can be the long man or be cut.
