Glad to see the guys finally get that third run we have desperately needed. Hopefully this win will spark a win streak, because time is running out.
I think we are all on the same page about some of the current young major leaguers(is that even a word?) right now that include Moran, Kemp, and White. Hinch needs to let them get a ton of starts so we know what we are working with. With the emergence of #Bregatron, Colin Moran could become a part of trade to snag a position player.
Lastly, for the #NeverGomez crowd, he finished his first rehab game last night going 0-3, with 2 strikeouts. Bregman hit another homerun last night (that wind is going to sweep him all the way up to the majors) and Musgrove is killing it with only a 0.96 ERA in 37.1 IP in the minors this year. Shouldnt be to long until he sees another promotion.
Tyler Wilson in 2016
2-2
3.68 ERA in 36.2 IP
18 strikeouts
1.15 WHIP
Leftties hitting .256
Righties hitting .193

Please leave Rasmus in center and Kemp in left.

Will be out there tonight, making only my 2nd game of the year

Idk why but I just don't feel like White is a guy I ever want up in a clutch situation. Reed needs to get going for a month and hopefully come up for good.
Bregman can play 3B everyday in the majors right now for all I care. Guess that's why I'm not a GM.

I feel better about White than I do Moran. One looks like he really wants it, doing everything he can to succeed. The other is Moran.

By flailing his body trying to draw walks?

Carlos Correa has yet to record an extra-base hit against left-handed pitching this season. Just 5 for 33 with 1 RBI vs. lefthanders.
What a remarkably odd stat for a RH batter

By hitting the weight room hard in the offseason to improve himself. I think he is trying to adjust to having enough pop while still being a patient hitter to make it in the big leagues. The guy has a hit tool and the desire to succeed so I tend to give him a little leeway.

I'm confident White will adjust. 33rd round pick rookie who despite his cold streak has a 106 wRC+ and is still adjusting as pitchers adjust to him. Just wish he would get in the lineup more.
Here's the lineup I am hoping for today:
Springer RF
Altuve 2B
Correa SS
Rasmus CF
Gattis C
Valbuena 3B
White DH
Marwin 1B
Kemp LF

AJ has turned White into strictly a platoon player. He pretty much only starting against lefties lately. Valbuena is playing first against righties. I don't like that at all. You're gonna see a majority right handed starters so that means Valbuena is getting the Lions share of playing time. There's no reason for that.

Yeah, it's dumb. AJ gonna AJ.
Musgrove starting for Fresno, game @ 1.

Musgrove update. He is a machine.

Cautiously optimistic about musgrove...I hope his stuff translates to the big leagues...he doesn't throw hard.

we need to trade for cameron maybin right now. he's going bonkers

I am certainly no AJ apologist. But you guys always want to have your cake and eat it too.
"Get rid of Gomez - he sucks."
"Play White more, he sucks, but he is a 33rd round draft pick and he will turn his inability to not flail of pitches out of the zone into a strength."
"Time is running out, Hinch has to get this team playing better before they are completely out of the division race."
"Promote everybody and see what these kids can do for next year."
Seriously, the team is what it is. Hinch has no faith in White and quite truthfully, he has NO REASON to have faith in him. By the looks of his daily lineup, he doesn't have faith in anyone except Altuve - and rightfully so.
The guys we thought would be dependable are not producing. The guys we thought would be stars are under-performing. (Exception is Altuve)
At this point we have to sit back and enjoy the good games and ignore the far too many shitty ones.
