The Astros are back home to open a 3 game series against the Rangers with LMJ making his second start of the season. They have been playing respectable ball over the last couple weeks but need to start putting a few streaks together.

After a terrible start, Castro is hitting .319 with 3 HRs and an OPS of 1.054 over the last 15 games.

Altuve has an 11 game hitting streak.

Down on the farm, Musgrove was solid in his second start for Fresno, Bregman continued to make a mockery of the Texas League with his 10th homerun, JD Davis wants to get into the 3B discussion and has hit 5 homeruns this week including 3 last night, and Ted Tucker is hitting .326 down at Quad Cities.

A sweep this weekend would be nice. Make it happen.

Hopefully Lance pitches efficiently and we get 2015 Home Keuchel.

a few months ago i learned my wife was headed out of town for this weekend and i told the boys if the rangers were in town we'd go see them.

then saw that they were traveling so i said why not, we'll see who the Astros are playing and cheer for them for a day. never been to a game at Minute Maid, but enjoyed old astrodome games.

Playing the rangers? eff em never mind.

Scott Feldman’s velocity continues to play considerably up out of the bullpen. His sinker topped out last night at 94.9 m.p.h. to Abreu.

Good trend but I'm not ready to crown his sinker just yet.

He's a legit reliever. Let's see if he buys into it after this season versus being a crap starter.

Pretty depressing

Not gonna lie, I kinda think this break for him coupled with some rehab games in the minors could make him come back and actually produce a little bit. Obviously not going to count on it and you can call me a sucker for thinking so but I think it's still premature to write him off. Now if he comes back and is worthless for 10 games I say send him packing

I resigned myself last night to the likelihood that he's going to get another chance because Jake keeps sucking. But if he comes back as the same moron in every respect, he won't stay long.

Is he even with the team?? It's not uncommon for a player on the DL to remain with the team until a rehab stint but I don't think I spotted him in the dugout during the White Sox series. Wouldn't surprise me if theu sent him home from Boston to clear his head and be away from baseball before a rehab assignment.

I'd love to see Gomez get right. We're obviously a much better team if he plays like he's capable of. I hope this time off works for him. I just don't see much changing unless Gomez believes there's a problem. He doesn't seem to buy into adjusting his swing or dialing back the giant cuts.

I heard Ludlow started using this regularly right around the end of July last year.

Probably the best thing for him would be to see that they can win without him. He's an idiot for sure, but you could tell how much he was pressing also.
