It's a new month, and the AL West standings are beautiful. Now we begin the quest to win back the silver boot with home Lance and a rested bullpen.

Things to know about this game:
• Outfielder Jake Marisnick (concussion) is expected to return to the Astros at some point during the series, possibly as soon as Monday's opener. After spending seven days on the disabled list, Marisnick completed a pair of rehab starts with Double-A Corpus Christi over the weekend. Marisnick has long been known for his defensive abilities, but he's also batting .286 with a .971 OPS in 17 games this season.
• The Astros ended April with winning records against all three American League West teams they've played. Houston hasn't won a season series against Texas since '14 (11-8).
• The Rangers are 45-29 (.608 percentage) all-time in Houston, their best road record in any city in which they've played at least 15 games.

The Angels have had a weird season.
6-2 to start the season followed by 6 straight loses in a 2-10 stretch. Followed that up with 5 straight wins and 6 out of 7.

It's kinda a coin flip. If you can't wait until lineups are out before picking him, check who's catching. If McCann, start Lance. If Gattis, don't.

As much as I want to believe this, it wont happen. I will be ok with 2 out of 4 worst case. The Stros are cursed against the Rangers. Until they prove otherwise, I am not getting my hopes up.

This time, no Yu in HOU. They will likely activate A.J. Griffin to start Thursday.
