If we don't deal him to get a No. 1 or No. 2 starter, I am keeping an eye on Devin Mesoraco, the Reds catcher.

The only hole with no big time minor league talent waiting to get called up. As much as we would all love pitching depth/upgrades..this is the position of need.

I like him, but he can't stay on the field due to injuries

Yep. Mesoraco would not potentially be available with his contract if he didn't have the injury concerns. He's a watch and follow guy this season.

I didn't come back to the thread after the shelling started last night. Did List give any hints about the good news next week?

Sorry, it's more personal and not team related this time.

Still really pumped. I may share some details after but I don't want to ruin it by spilling the beans. You never know who reads this site.

Gametime pushed back 10 minutes. MLB TV showed a good scene in NY. Looking good for a 3:15 start

I think I found out why he's considered to be a "light hitting" shortstop. Lil fella needs protein bars, stat.

They must think he's going to be big time considering how they typically spend the international pool.

The total cost to the Astros will be around $7 million, including fees associated with international signing limits, sources said.

With this much invested in him and taking his age into consideration, where do they start this kid? It would be curious to see a 22 y/o millionaire playing in the Dominican league.

Yeah I saw he hit like 240 in the Cuban League. He must have an incredible glove where he can contribute very quickly or like the way he projects and think they can fix the bat issues easily

Eovaldi isn't a great matchup for us. He's not great but he has strikeout stuff. He handled us last year.
