I love how everyone freaks out after two games. It's truly pathetic.

I ain't worried about it. Like you said it's just 1 game out of 162 and I'm just chalking up the terrible bullpen performance to the wheels had already fallen off in this game and a lack of focus. At least that's the way I'm spinning it.

How was the melt after Game 2? I didn't go back and read anything. Figured it was sky isnfalling, Luhnows fault etc etc

Well this was game 2, but the melt was strong. It's crazy how little people understand how baseball works. Bad days happen to every team.

Carlos Correa is hitting 74 bombs this year.

Wasn't much of a melt. The game was essentially over before the Yankees made their 2nd out. We've certainly had worse melts when the bullpen blew leads late last year. Honestly I think Gomez and Castro got more hate for their terrible ABs tonight than McHugh got for his stinkfest.

I'm not concerned about anyone yet. Ask me in 4 weeks and if it's the same I will worry then. Anyone who worries this soon is clueless. They very well might be correct in there concern, but nows not the time to worry.....yet.

Nope. At least not without some aftermarket help. I watch whatever streams I can find. My usually reliable site from last year crapped out in the 2nd inning tonight.
I didn't use any sort of VPN and watched a couple of innings of Astros and Yankees on MLB.TV earlier. No idea why it worked

We started last year 3-5 and looked absolutely terrible doing so also. Only one that I'm legit worried about is Castro (and that carries over from last year) because he has regressed so much from where he was and I'm afraid he's gonna hit like .160/.240

Not worried. It's 2 games. 1-1. We have no idea who this team is yet. The pitching staff concerns me though. At the moment we've got 1 great starter, 4 average ones and 0 with filthy stuff. When McCullers returns we get 1 guy with potentially dominant pitches but he's a bit of a question mark. I do think one or two of McHugh, Fiers, Feldman or Fister make for a serviceable 4/5. But as the makeup of nearly our entire staff...I'm leary of it.

Very likely
I wish we had a catcher who could hit so badly, but his pitch "presenting" is where his value is at. It's crazy how just 3 seasons ago he was the teams all star game representative and he was hitting very well. Now he just looks lost.

I agree with this but felt that way before the year honestly, I just think we will score enough to make up for it

Too bad Cole Hamels was too much of a bitch to come to Houston and vetoed that trade. I know the cost would have been large but the Rangers likely don't win the West without him last year and we're division Champs. Who knows from there. But I'd feel a lot better having someone like him in the rotation behind Keuchel and then getting LMJ back. Fiers is solid as a 4 then let Feldman and Fister battle it out for who gets injured first.
Funny how that dynamic has changed. I was perfectly happy with getting Kazmir instead of Hamels given the price. Now...Kaz was a bust, he's gone, Rangers won the West and our starters are kind of a concern.

Astros got dat sore arse now.

Yea a catcher who could hit .250+ would be nice. I'm courious as to why lunhow doesn't target catchers earlier in the draft seeing that the position has been week for a while. I still don't like that we gave up Nottingham but kazmir did pretty well for us at first so I guess it worked out for the better.

Gonna need Fiers to get us 7 innings tomorrow.
