At this point, all Sam can do is stand and stare at this streak by YFPHA.

Hopefully Musbaw can give us 6+ today. Ready for him to start taking the next steps forward.

Is "Dragon" his official DAT designation?

I like it!

Not really. There are others on here who could photos hop a real uniform and hat on that thing.

Good stuff. Like we talked about last night, he's working on that slider. I just don't know if he'll be anything other than an slightly above average starter even if he makes it a good third pitch. Staying in this super fireman role would maximize his talent and change baseball at the same time.

Also the lack of a lefty in the bullpen makes him invaluable. That change is Trevor hoffmaneque.

I agree. Starters are going to have bad outings. Devo gives you the ability to get them out of there before things get out of hand. He can consistently give you 2-4 strong innings to give the team an opportunity to get back into the game, while bridging to the back end of the bullpen. So much more than just an innings eater in the middle.

He already has 0.6 fWAR in 11 innings, that would not happen as a starter. Luhnow and Hinch are doing it right keeping him in the pen, but Hinch did say on the radio today that he would be available for a spot start if necessary, which is also a good asset to have.

Hunch knows. He had devo in there to get through trout. Then saved Giles for the weakest hitters in the 9th.

Dragon is his ace in the pen and he knows it.

He explained to MT and Brian T Smith this morning that Devo isn't a "6th inning guy, 7th inning guy, closer" because he's just a "leverage guy"
