Would it be at all shocking that exposure to another hitting coach may have helped Castro? Even a little bit shocking?

It's just coincidence that Strom usually gets more out of lesser pitching talent but our hitters are much less consistent

Not even a little bit of a surprise.

About the same amount of surprise as when Pettis runs one of the Astros base runners into an out.

Or when Sipp gives up a 2 run double to a lefty that is batting below the Mendoza line.

At some point, these things become the expectation and not the exception.

Looks like the angels remembered they are a shitty ball club. We'll be tied for the division lead after their game finishes up

Recorded the game. Just finished up and read through the DAT... The emotional roller coaster was beautiful.

Also, nobody freak out about that Correa article. Carlos is clearly one of the most confident players out there, and it's always been clear he's going to maximize his value in free agency. If he loves Houston and wants to stay, he will. This issue is so far away it's silly to worry about it.

Reed has now reached base 16 times in 8 games. 9-for-24 (.375), 2 HR & 2 doubles now, entered tonight .500 OBP/.565 SLG/1.065 OPS. #Astros
