Giles is the only one in the pen I trust and it feels like (I don’t know his actual numbers but it seems like he’s pitched a lot more innings in a short span than he did in the regular season) he has been overworked in the playoffs

Which is why I'm not too too down on Giles. Can he pitch better? Sure. Did he pitch bad last night? Sure absolutely. But he is by far the only bullpen arm worth and shite and all of his outings he's had to pitch about 2 innings of work, where he hasn't been used to it. Like I said, Giles can pitch better, but he's absolutely not the problem in the bullpen.

It's not a must win, only because they are going home for 6 (and 7). The youth can be a problem, but it can be a positive too. They are usually more resilient than the older player, but the older players (Mccann, Beltran, Reddick) need to calm the nerves of the younger guys. As someone in the postgame said, someone needs to make a play.

Disagree. The Astros need to take one in NYC because I highly doubt that the yanks will be shutdown in games 6 and/or 7 like they were in 1 & 2. The baby Bombers have confidence and momentum. Houston needs to right the ship tonight or at least play a highly competitive 9 innings.

It was the right move. It didn't work out. At some point the players have to make plays

Completely agree with this. Lance hasn't pitched much at all since July, and they felt like 80 pitches was enough and didn't want to ruin him. Like you guys have said the bullpen was well rested, and should have been good to go, but they were obviously complete failures last night. Hindsight is always 20/20 though.

It sure would have been nice if Luhnow dealt for some solid and experienced bullpen arms. Joe, Devo and Giles have zero post season experience and they're showing cracks under pressure.

He had allowed 1 hit before Judge. I would have trusted him there. This isn't in hindsight. He was dominating. Hinch said he did not have a pitch count. He'd go as long as he was effective. Pussy move not letting him keep going.

Devo felt bad, you could see it in his eyes.

Devo and Giles and maybe Harris all need to step up, the team may still need them at some point.

I would have given LMJ another batter because it was his game / if a guy gets on base pull him.

I'm feeling good about today, gents. They know they let yesterday slip through their fingertips and Keuchel makes the Yankees his bitch every time out. LET'S GO!!!

This is all great, but these BATS NEED TO WAKE UP! We need to put a 10 spot on these guys tonight, AT LEAST!

This is the worst 4 game stretch of offense from this team that I can remember seeing in a long time. We didn't have much (if any) of that in the regular season. Let's turn it around tonight.

It seems so much longer!!! I really think the moment is bigger than they thought it would be. Altuve is clearly rattled, and I'm very shocked by that! Reddick needs a slump buster, I hope he took care of that last night!

HOPEFULLY the regular season stros return with force tonight!

I swear to God if Springer leads off with another ground ball directly to short stop.

He's going to lead off with a double. Mark it down.
