Don't think it would have taken much to win with that defense.
Agree/disagree with Danny?
quote:
In an interview with Artie Lange (h/t Chicago Sun Times), Hall of Fame defensive lineman Dan Hampton, who played for the Bears from 1979-1990 said with Cutler captaining that ship, they would have won five Super Bowls. Hampton won Super Bowl XX, so his words at least come from the mouth of someone who knows what it takes to win.
"I would have gave anything to have him on our team," Hampton said. "You give us Jay Cutler back in our day, not only do we win five Super Bowls in a row, but we don't lose a game. Mark that down."

...Then again, his ability to rack up 3k yards and 20 tds fit in better with that era.

His problem is he’s too petulant,” Hampton said. “He thinks he can make any throw, any time. He’s like a young Greg Norman. ‘I can hit anything I want.’ He’s too reckless and with a mediocre team like Chicago has, his mistakes are only magnified. If they get better he can get away with a few mistakes. He could become one of the elite quarterbacks.”
I think we can all agree that Cutler is who he is. This isn't going to change.

lol
He's 31 and about to enter his 10th year in the league. It's not going to happen.

A little out there with the 5 SB'S but Cutler isn't dogshit like the media wants you to believe. The Bears just sucked last year, horrible O line and Forte had a down year. Also the Bears D sucked which is not normal for that team.

The two best contracts ever signed for the packers
1) Jay Cutler's first contract
2) Jay Cutler's second contract

Same thing with Seattle right now. Wilson certainly isn't a bad QB, but their passing game is the weak link of that team.
Several QB's would have had Seattle virtually unbeatable the last 2 years. Heck, they almost won 2 SB's with Wilson.

There is no other way to skin it. Jay Cutler is mentally not equipped to win in the NFL. He's pretty tough physically, but he's a baby and the Bears won't win with him.

Which is why I'm hoping Seattle gives him a mega contract. I'd love nothing more than seeing those fricks sink back to mediocrity.

cutler is a gun slinger.. it wont change. I like cutler though, he is in the top half of nfl qbs. The bears would struggle to find better on the market

Packers would have won more back then if Cutler was the QB. Nobody finds open Green Bay DBs like Jay does

what a ridiculous assumption

I don't... Cutler is nowhere near the leader that Jimmy Mac was... Not even close..........

Has Hampton been checked for brain damage due to repeated head trauma? Or maybe Dan was intoxicated when he made the comments (he has 3 DWI convictions)?
Joe Montana would probably laugh at Dan Hampton since the 49ers won two Super Bowls during the five seasons that Hampton was referring to. The 49ers beat the Bears in the NFC Championship games both times the 49ers won the Super Bowl. The scores were 23-0 and 28-3. The second game was played in Chicago. I doubt Jay Cutler would have been enough to reverse the results.
