Wade is an absolute lock to go to that fricking shithole in Cleveland. It's inevitable.

No way. He claims to be a "Heat Lifer" and that is the organization that he will ALWAYS be identified with. He may not be in Miami next year and if so, the fans will blame the organization. But if he goes to Cleveland, especially for less money than he could have opted in for, that will tarnish his legacy with Heat fans and he knows that.

Pretty obvious that this was coming about a couple weeks ago. Wade wants a kobe esque payday because hes taken paycuts at every negotiation tothis point in career.

Actually opting out is news. The fact that he was going to opt out is not surprising in the least.

Yeah he's staying in Miami. They can offer him the most money (or are willing to pay him the most money) as well as the cost benefit of not moving cities/income tax free Florida

Plus if Winston is good, they've got a half decent roster.

Deep down I think he knows his legacy is a little enhanced (deservedly so or not) by the fact that Lebron came to him, and not the other way around. Plus being a lifer with one ball club is a rarity in any sport, I think he'd like that.

Now if Cleveland found a way to offer more money than Miami, then he'd be a closer battle for him.
