Not sure anyone cares at this point. I watched the TCU game yesterday but that was it.

Must not be watching this game then. Arizona offense all over Thomas Hatch.

Dalbec looking good again

What inning will the Zona bench transform into a salon today?

Arizona coach has ruined their ace running him out there. Dude has like 145 innings pitched on the year.

Bannister? Did they ever say what his injury is?

tightness in forearm
quote:

But he threw 79 pitches.

And ... Bannister's 2.2 innings pitched brought his season total to 142.3, the most of any Division I starter this season. In April, he threw three complete games over four starts. In Arizona's dramatic regional win over Louisiana-Lafayette, he pitched on two days' rest.

All I've seen was he left because of tightness in his forearm

Not too bad.

See I'm on the fence about this. On one hand yes that's a lot of innings but it's the coaches job to win games at his university.

It's the same argument people make about Saban using up running backs

Damn. That was the correct call. I thought it hit the bat.

Hatch done after 2 innings. Not a good outting for the Big 12 pitcher of he year

Disagree.... as we have more information regarding pitching/arm injuries than some myth about runnings backs.

At first I was skeptical about the Zona shifting but it's been working for them

Why didn't they send Hatch out yesterday? trying to save him for the championship game 1?

Probably wanted him for game 1. He was not effective at all today.

Is that a typical strategy for the team coming out if the winner bracket? Seems like a gamble.

Doesn't look like it would have mattered, just thought it was interesting.

Had to have been the reason. Their 3 guy had not pitched in a while. Arizona knew it was win or go home so they had the ace in there. If Coastal and Arizona both win today they will both be pretty deep into their pen for the championship series. Should be interesting.
