Veras might be worse than Marmol. That's saying a lot

Hah. Veras has only done this for 2 maybe 3 games. Not two maybe three seasons.

I haven't seen anything out of Veras that makes me understand why he's the closer for a major league team. At least Marmol had the potential to make opposing hitters swing and miss if he happened to be on that night. Veras just straight up sucks.

I agree but that's what they paid him to do. I'm not making excuses for him because he has been terrible but strope can miss the zone with the best of them and served up 2 home runs 2 days ago. I like rendon but what do I know.

Yea, I didn't really understand that either.

It's probably more that it doesn't really matter who's managing the actual in game situations for the next 3 years, they're losing a lot more than they're winning regardless.

I assume you are making a veiled reference to not hiring sandberg? Team was/is so terrible no need to tarnish his shine in Chicago and have meatball fans screaming for his head too.

Yea, I'm actually glad Ryno isn't managing this team right now. I'd feel terrible for him.

To not even interview him was a cock stroke move to basically just push back agaunst fans to show how much you know and who id in charge.

They spoke with him and told him they wanted a guy with major league experience. They knew they weren't going to hire him so why go through with the farce just to appease some fans? Worked out better for ryno. Cubs are terrible and I'm glad he's not the face of failure.

Not how you drew it up but nice bounce back from grimm. Leaving Rosenthal in to bat was a head scratcher but I guess I wouldn't be too worried about the cubs offense either.

So a team in the cardinals thought enough of ryno to intervjrw him but a team that hasnt hit on shite ever just says dont even try? I cant stand the cardinals but ill takr their front office opinions over just about anyone in baseball.
