If you don't think an all star team could beat GS by 50+ and why this thread is beyond stupid I don't even know what to tell you

50 points? Come on now. 5 all stars vs 3 all stars, one being the best player in the game currently... that is not a 50 point spread

Assuming in this fantasy scenario that he all star team is coached and are giving max effort Yes it is a 50 point spread.

vs an actual NBA team are you kidding?

Well they wouldn't, but thanks for playing.

And that's not even necessarily a GS thing...it's just that 50+ points is just absurd to assume, like I said, hyperbole at its finest.

Russillo and Kannell did this discussion the Friday of All Star weekend. They had D Wade and asked the question, who would win, a starting 5 of all stars? Or GSW? D Wade without hesitation said GSW

Unless all the backups are D leaguers? Yes its a 50 point spread. A 50 point spread is not absurd an all star team would be at least triple the salary cap.

There is nothing to support that all-star teams are better than regular teams. Throwing together random alphas players usually is pretty useless. The Warriors have timing, chemistry and are very comfortable with each other. Things an all star team would never have. I would take a great championship team over an all star team any day..

You really need to watch more of John Wall and Ricky Rubio. They are excellent defenders.

thought about putting Rubio, but Steph dropped 46 in his one game against MIN this year. And he dropped 51 in his one game against WSH so...

Hey, I didnt say they would be able to stop him, but that they are two of the best available.

I don't care what the cap is, that team isn't say, scoring 130 points AND holding GS to 80 points.

That's silly.

Probably not good enough offensively to keep up with Golden State, but probably could slow the game down enough to keep it close.

oh my god, please be kidding. I haven't read the whole thread, I hope OP is being facetious.

Lebron took Golden State to 6 games last year with Thompson, Mozgov, Delly, and JR Smith. I know Golden State is playing even better but come the frick on.

throwing together a bunch of past prime star doesn't work but the all star teams people are making are all prime players and a 50 point spread is appropriate.
