He would destroy almost everyone on this board. But there are a few people who would take him...there are MMA guys that post here. Manny couldn't do anything against a guy with ground skills.

I can honestly answer this one.
I was a top-level state player as a Junior. Got out of state college scholarship offers but elected to attend LSU (who was #1 in the NCAA at the time and above my level) so I became a USPTA Professional and paid for my college through teaching and playing in Regional and National tournaments. I didn't suck. I worked the summers in Texas at a resort, I played every day, and played in Exhibition doubles matches with both men and women Professional Tour players. I was at the height of my game and there is NO WAY I could have beaten these women. None. You have no idea how good they are until you get on the court with them. The top-tier women are as strong as men and in incredible cardio shape. And I am talking about when I was college age. Now, forget about it.
TLDR, Cliffs. I played tennis for a living and actually played matches with some women pros. The answer is NO you couldn't win a game from them.

You think it would take an MMA fighter at Jon Jones level to take Manny in a street fight? If so, you're mistaken. There are professional MMA fighters that post here btw.

The OP can probably find out if he puts up enough money for one of the women to play him. It would be an easy payday for her.

I was top three in the Grand Prix back then and used to say I could take a game off a woman pro (this actually used to be something we would talk about) and then I got to get on the court with a few once I was in college. And I got much taller, stronger in my senior year of HS. I then realized that all the smack talk back in the day was just that. I am telling you they are better than you think. They get paid thousands of dollars to play for a reason.

Not only do I not think you would win one game against a prof. woman's tennis player I think she would ace the majority of serves against you.

Ahhhh the annual tennis thread about beating Serena. Yal do know Serena wins most of her sets 6-1/6-2 on tour, and Mr OT Rando thinks he can do the same with no training?
Serena would shove her racquet so far up your arse you'd be deep-throating the end of it.

hmm i dunno what the grand prix was. i got up to #4 in the state when i was 18 years old in the usta rankings. top 2 got scholarships to lsu so i could have probably walked on but i was kinda burnt out and partied too much when i got there.
but i went to southern tournaments in the same field as robby ginepri and although i never was on his side the bracket and played him, the last tournament i was at my friend played him and lost something like 6-3,6-4. Ginepri went pro the next year.
we might not take one off of serena but i think we could have taken a game off a woman "pro"

Lets say Sharapova or the man-beast Serena?
I think I could win one game per set, maybe 2 and I dont even play tennis much/at all.
6-2,6-1 would seem about right.
haha you dumb frick. knowone here would win a single point unless they wanted you too. if you played college tennis then youd have a chance at a game or 2 thats it

I play a lot of tennis and had a 5.0 USTA rating at one point, and I don't think I could take a game of a top 20 player.

knowone without college wrestling skills or a brown belt in bjj could take manny fricking pacquio in a street fight. are you guys fricking retarded? he'd hit you 10 times before you even saw a single punch. Youd wake up 20 minutes later. I dont care how big you are. Only chance at beating a professional boxer in a street fight would be if you were a sickkk ground fighter

Grand Prix was the old state juniors circuit. I am way before your time if you played with Ginepri. The big difference was that LSU was super strong in NCAA tennis back then. At least half the team was Borg look-alikes from Sweden. I went to the walk on tryouts and the guy who was #1 on the state had just finished trying out and was invited to the practice squad. I skipped the tryout and went to Murphy's. Haha.
My read of the OP was that we were talking about the top women pros and not just someone on the Tour. Never the less, I stand by my experience. They really are better than you think.

I was top 5 in LA in u14. Top 30 in south.
I was 6-8 in LA In u16.
I quit when I was about 16.
I played against a lot of the men and some of the women at LSU. I beat a couple of them here and there but not overall.
I practiced against a woman who made a couple of small pro tourneys and was 8 years removed. At 16, I was lucky to get 2 games.

Was this post directed at me? I specifically said virtually no one could touch Manny on this board, EXCEPT the 2-3 professional MMA guys that have ground game.

I could win a game against Maria Sharapova
If she had one of those off games with 4 double faults

One game? Yeah I think so. I would just go for winners on every shot. String a few together and youve got one game. They do make errors too by the way. I'm gonna say I would go down 6-0 5-0 then I would rise to the occasion before losing 6-0 6-1.
