RW can be lethal at times, but there is only one basketball and you have the second or third best offensive player in the game right next to you. If he hasn't realized that by now, he never will concede to Durant.

That being said, they only way OKC could be better without him is if they get a good scoring and great assist guy. Chaz Williams!!!

OKC wouldn't be better by just subtracting Westbrook. But I've always felt OKC and Durant would be better if they traded Westbrook for one or two quality complimentary pieces.
this is where I stand. Gotta think they can trade RW for a more complimentary star to KD

The may be better in spurts without Westbrook but I can't see them winning a title without him unless they were to trade him and add a few pieces.

Reminds me of Houston when they had the 23-24 game winning streak a few years ago and most of the games were without Yao and a lot of people were saying they were better without him.

I don't think there's a more complementary player in the league for Durant than Westbrook.

When people say they think OKC would be better w/o Westbrook, they don't mean take him off the team and don't replace him.

Never mind that its a completely different thing to play without a guy for an entire year vs suddenly losing him come playoff time.

So to say "Look at last years playoffs" is an idiotic herp derp of an argument.

I bet OKC trades him this summer for Rondo.

RW always concedes to KD...when KD demands the ball

the issue is how KD changes with/without big Russ

Durant has 40 & 10 and people are still bitching about Westbrook?

Westbrook made Durant miss two free throws. Trade him for Dragic.

Not only that, but he's taken 28 shots and 12 FTs. He's had plenty of chances.

Edit: 29 shots.

Meanwhile, Westbrook tied the game with a 3 and set up Durant for one on the next possession.

I would think a Chris Paul type PG that doesn't take more shots than the worlds best scorer would be a better fit. A more complimentary player to me would be someone who's great without dominating the ball. And don't give me the "someone has to score on that team" line. Birdman scores just fine on the heat bc he gets easy looks bc of dominant offense players on that team.

But I admit, I'm not a fan of volume scoring PGs like Westbrook and rose, though their athleticism makes them both terrific to watch

No, but I do think they would be better with a guy that doesn't require the ball in his hands as much.

Trade Westbrook for Kevin Love

I will never understand this line of logic with Rondo. He is a bad fit on a team with a guy like Durant or Harden. Rondo needs the ball in his hands to be effective, he is pretty useless without it.

For all you teeny-bopper pieces of shite who said "frick you" or acted like I was an idiot:

quote:

According to the data, this season the team’s two most common lineups feature Durant, Serge Ibaka, Thabo Sefolosha, and Kendrick Perkins. However, the most common lineup features Reggie Jackson at the point, while the other has Westbrook there. Westbrook has played 287 minutes with these guys and, surprisingly, opponents have outscored that unit by 7.5 points per 100 possessions. That’s bad. Jackson has played with those same four guys for 525 minutes; they have outscored opponents by 6.4 points per 100 possessions. That’s good.

How bout we give them more than 2 games with Russ back before we start jumping to conclusions. They were in the finals last time Russ was healthy...

Today, Ibaka took 16 shots. Westbrook took 13. Durant took 30
