Josh Gordon is being suspended 1 year for drinking two beers on a plane flight. I think that punishment is over the top considering its not an illegal action. I understand his issues with marijuana, but 1 year for drinking a beer? If this judge thought Tom Brady's suspension was too harsh, why couldnt Josh Gordon win an appeal?

No. There was a clear punishment schedule and warning for Gordon and a verifiable investigation (drug test) for a suspension

It is nothing like Brady's case

But does the punishment fit the crime? Thats essentially what the judge ruled in the Tom Brady case. Is suspending a player for an entire season for drinking a beer justifiable? I think its ridiculous.

That is not what the judge ruled. Read up on the ruling before you come up with poor comparisons

Nope, because josh Gordon knowingly violated his agreement from his previous suspension as to what the conditions of his reinstatement were.

You are last on the waiver wire anyways, stop worrying about trying to get a steal. It isn't happening

The guy was in the players union agreed upon substance abuse program because of his multiple infractions. He didn't just have 1 beer and got popped.

You're either not seeing this clearly because you're a browns fans or you're just stupid

Josh Gordon's latest suspension is for testing positive for alcohol. He drank two beers on a plane flight...does the penalty fit the crime. I think its ridiculous.

The punishment fit what was collectively bargained.
