Probably seen the short version before, but this is the extended version of Coughlin leaving his presser and commenting on NFL players today.

Coughlin hasn't been in the Playoffs since the Giants last Superbowl (2011, I believe). The Giants contemplated canning him a couple of times before and then NYG pulled this miraculous playoff run and Superbowl victory out of nowhere.

Resse and Mara did the right thing by giving him the opportunity to "step down". If you're going to act like a bitch about it, don't accept the offer to step down and make them fire you.

Tough like when you & Coughlin played in the NFL?

Coughlin should just be grateful he like other coaches( who weren't good enough to play) got an 2nd chance in football in the good old boy coaching system.

Athletes have to make multi million dollar business decisions instead of trying to constantly prove their toughness .

So, you're saying coaching has no effect on winning? They just place "good ol boys" and talent alone wins? You need both. Always have and always will.
It's no different than any other organization. You need strong leadership to manage people's egos and personalities

He is a two time SB winning coach who was also successful in Jacksonville. He did a little better than lucking out.

my thought is: maybe if half the former players who are all Coughlin's age werent suing the league b/c it was unsafe, the league wouldnt be changing rules and adding concussion protocols to curb future lawsuits.

all those former tough guys are looking around wondering why theyre beat to hell now. and now thats theres so much money in the sport, they feel entitled to their cut of the pie. but they also want to call the current players pussies who are playing with skirts on

Don't hate just because he owns your Patriots in the Super Bowl.

My dad and I got drunk the day David Tyree retired. The Manningham reception was beautiful, the Tyree catch was pure fricking luck.

The dude is 170-150 in his NFL career. He took a 9-7 team in 2011, got hot at the right time, and won a superbowl. That's the only time in the last 7 years they've made the playoffs.

Think about that. The Giants have made the playoffs once in seven years while playing in the NFC east. Not exactly the most stable division in that time frame either. The redskins have made the playoffs more in that time frame.

He has no reason to be salty.

Why even mention racism in this thread?

Random and ridiculous.
