Was just about to post this.

Favre or Brees should have won.

With the 49ers running game and defense Steve Bono could of won most of those Super Bowls

This alone might be grounds for dismissal from the RMD!

I know playoff performance doesn't factor into regular season MVP honors, but if Brett Favre had not thrown that interception in the NFC Championship Game, he would be my pick for 2009 MVP.

I think if he runs toward the sideline instead of throwing across his body, the Vikings make it to the Super Bowl.

Of course not but lets not act like wining Super Bowls as the QB of those 49er teams is something special

Ah. So Montana was just on a good team while Manning on the '13 Broncos is surrounded by vastly inferior talent?

2013 Broncos: 22nd in Points allowed 15th in rushing.

The 49ers were a perennial top 5 D and top 10 rushing team.

But along with it comes the (statistically) greatest offense in the history of the NFL.

Also...over the last few weeks the Denver Broncos' defense has been holding opponents to around 15 points a game and are not allowing any team to get a run game going.

Montana's teams had WAY more talent

Montana's first Super Bowl team had zilch. 1984 and 1989 were the only Super Bowl teams of his where the 49ers were clearly the best team in the league.

And Montana's teams having WAY more talent is certainly debatable. Manning has a 1,000-yard rusher behind him as well as multiple wide receivers with over 1,000 yards.

top 5 D and at the time a top 10 WR duo in Clark and Soloman. The 49ers also ran for over 100 yards in every playoff game
