I did not see a thread about this. Thoughts?

I'm glad not to see a Diaz 3 fight. I'm sure it would have been a good fight but Connor really gains nothing by beating Diaz again. Time for him to move on to bigger fights. Eddie is a much bigger fight. I'm pumped for this.

Connor vs Diaz 3 is happening, just not right now

From what I read, Conner will vacate the 145 belt no matte what after this fight. Gives him that "holding two belts" chance but doesn't clog up two division

His next fight after this will be Diaz, they don't want to hold up 2 belts for that

Diaz McGregor 3 will be at 155 so that won't clog up the lightweight division if Mc wins

It would set things up perfectly if he beat Alvarez. He could fight Diaz for the belt at 155.

Eddie also can wrestle frick mcgregor....eddies a smart fighter and might take his petis approach. Hes not afraid to slug it out which is McGregors only chance

That is if Diaz does not lose his next fight which will not be against Connor. Remember that Diaz is 9-9 in his last 18 fights. Does he deserve a title shot with this record?

Nate is not a title contender at any weight class. He's an entertaining fighter, but not a champion. Although I think Khabib should get the shot, if they match up Conor with Eddie, they need to match up Nate with Khabib for contender status. Conor most likely loses to Eddie and Nate gets crushed by Khabib. That will lead to Eddie vs Khabib and Conor vs Nate 3.

Honestly, it should be Khabib v. RDS for the shot.

Eddie is durable and tough as hell

That said, he gets dropped nearly every time he fights and if that happens against Mcgregor... he may not get up

Can we please have Aldo vs Holloway now???

Why?

Kabib's ground game is way too strong for Mcgregor. He would be dominated.

Conor has everything to lose.

Now if you want to see this fight to see him lose then yes I agree.

But for the common fan its not a good sale

I'd like to see Kabib with one more fight before he fights RDA.

hes been pretty inactive, and he recently fought a can which did not show anything of his true ability.

Fair point. I didn't realize he hadn't fought in two years. A rematch with RDA is fair. Nate doesn't belong anywhere near the 155 title, but he will be promoted up there because of his rivalry with Conor.
