Late hit by Kansas City. Had to be carted off. Hate it for him. I hated his Carolina teams but he was always extremely gutsy and the way Spurrier used him was borderline criminal.

How did Spirrier use him in any criminal way?

Uhh, by having a mobile qb use his legs in a game?

Just saw a replay of the hit. Makes me absolutely sick to my stomach for Shaw. He's always been a class act, and I was rooting for him to make it in the NFL.

Here's hoping he can make a full recovery.

Spurrier played Shaw when he was obviously hurt in that manner.

Man it sucks. Nearly reminds of Lattimore.

Great human beings.

Great work ethic.

Great in college.

May have found a spot in the NFL, maybe not. But if not, it wouldn't be for a lack of trying.

But dammit, doesn't look like he'll get much time to even try due to the injury bug.

Since that time, Lattimore has made a hell of a life here. As you can imagine doing pretty much anything he wants to in the state of SC. If Shaw decides to not pursue the NFL after this, he'll have the same reception.

Terrible thing to see. It sucks for a guy trying to make the team to get hurt like that.

It wasn't really a dirty hit though. If you watch the video closely, the Chiefs player goes airborne and simultaneously a Bears lineman falls backwards into him causing the Chiefs player's body to land awkwardly on top of Shaw. Just a really unfortunate play.

Like I said on the rant, Shaw could have a good career as a backup. However, with two major injuries in two years, it doesn't seem like it is meant to be.
