Feels good. The Houston Rockets are in the second round, and lots of haters were wrong.

Huge congratulations to Daryl Morey

He can now finally say he has more playoff series wins than Jeff Bower

Everyone underestimated the Josh whisperer.

Can we get an updated Det/Hou with/without Josh Smith playoff record? TIA

What? How many people outside of that idiot Jalen Rose (who I like, but his basketball knowledge isn't great) thought the Rockets wouldn't make the second round.

Mid season. Once the matchups were settled, people picked Houston. But I can't count how many times people said the Rockets wouldn't get out of the first round on this board. The claim was made in just about every Rockets thread.

I get that, but saying who will and won't get out of each round early in the season is pretty pointless IMO because matchups are so important. Hell, the Spurs and Clips are probably both top 5 teams, but one of them is going to lose in the 1st round.

Yeah. And the Rockets have had plenty of tough matchups and brutal losses, but everyone liked to act like we were swept every year in the first round.

I guess I just never noticed that, or did it myself so I wasn't aware. I think some people give the Rockets fans a hard time because of recent history, but you're right that a lot of it has to do with match ups. Memphis and Houston got the more fortunate draw this year, and SAS and LAC didn't but at the same time they didn't do as well as they needed to in the regular season.

Yeah. Houston always goes 6 or 7 games in losses. Always.

It's so awesome to see Dwight killing it.

Dwight hasn't looked this good since his Orlando days. Blocking shots left and right and grabbing every board. I really believe that most people were starting to forget just how dominant he was at one point. Good to see him doing that again.
