Mississippi State OOC:

Southern Miss
UAB
South Alabama
UT Martin

Baylor OOC:

SMU
Northwestern St
Buffalo

Ohio State OOC:

Navy
Va Tech
Cincinnati
Kent State

Which one(s) are the joke OOC?

i mean, it's not any good at all. it's unfortunate in the way scheduling works that virginia tech sucks, i get that. but they do.

i guess it's not a "joke" but it's still bad. no quality wins or are you going to try to argue that cincinnati is good?

ETA: all three of them. im not defending those schedules either. that would be stupid.

and i think OSU will be in the playoff if they win out. im ok with that. still a shite schedule.

You mean to tell me that playing three bowl teams (looks like VA Tech will go bowling) opposed to zero OOC isn't better?

You need to stick to basketball.

Exactly. Ohio State made the effort and should be rewarded accordingly.

Baylor and MissSt can get fricked.

Not that anyone cares but that'd be the end of my college football interests if either of those two are rewarded for their scheduling.

They are basically three P5 teams (if you include Navy).

The others I posted have zero P5 teams.

Playing Navy fricks up your practice routine and defensive scheme for two weeks.

If Ohio State played either of those other OOC schedules they'd be undefeated. That was my only point.

agreed on that for sure. it's definitely better than those 2 specifically. not sure that's the goal though.

It will be the goal heading on out.

Schedule 1-AA schools, and win your conference, make the playoffs, rinse and repeat.

Komso, what would happen if you figured out the SOS only using the teams that they beat...ie, quality of the wins. I think that brings Baylor up and tcu down

Yep. Simple policy needs implemented.

To be eligible for playoff considerations, all teams are required to schedule at least ten P5 games a year.

It'll be such crap if those teams get rewarded.

I'm just compiling averages of the polls, I think you'd have to change how the criteria for the SOS within their polls to get that data.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're asking.

They should be required to play only P5 teams, it would solve a lot of problems and shrink the width data while increasing the depth.

Then you could just go to a computer average (preferably 20 or so) for the top 4 teams.

Indeed. Ten would be a decent compromise but 12 is obviously ideal

Vanderbilt, Colorado, Indiana, Wake Forest, and Iowa State would have a full schedule for the next 100 years.

The Big 12 is on par or worse than the Big Ten. So no.

And the ACC

fricking Florida State fans, ruining everything per the usual.

Incorrect. You lost to Va tech. You could have easily lost to UAB on that day as well
