Commanders not picking up Chase Young's 5th year option

Played 15,9,3 games the last three years.
In his rookie season, he had 7.5 sacks.
So not bad as a rookie but it’s not ground breaking and he is hurt all the time. Fifth year option would be a fortune so they are avoiding it.

He was a defensive rookie of the year candidate and then tore his knee up. Not sure I would say lazy and i hate anything associated with Ohio State

I think a lot of LSU fans are still bitter over that and the fact that Young stole a little of the Heisman spotlight from Burrow for a while.

He had the unfortunate role of the media needing someone else to talk about for the Heisman and draft that year being even though Burrow was a lock for #1 in both

Burrows Heisman was never in jeopardy. The airtime he got was assured. Plus he was deserving.

I used to laugh my arse off when a big time prospect left Louisiana. They would lose it come up with the most hilarious reasons. They've gotten better now that it's become more frequent.
