Cowherd and others said the exact same thing about Lebron........Then Lebron won 2, and it was like "I told you Lebron was a leader"

yep

my favorite is when they bitch about the Super Bowl location b/c they fear the weather won't be nice enough for them to walk around in shorts. It was hilarious to hear them whine about the freak ice storm in Dallas and bloviate that the SB should only be played in warm weather cities.

In his defense, players do change over time. Arguing that Lebron wasn't a leader his first several years in Cleveland would have been accurate. Arguing he is a solid leader now would also be accurate.

That wasnt his argument. His argument was similar to many on this board"

"Lebron doesnt have what it takes to win. He WILL NEVER WIN A TITLE"

Then he wins one, and him and this board claimed he "changed" Thats such a puss move. When you claim he will "never win" because he doesnt have "it", you cant cop out and say "well he changed"

Windhorst addressed this with Zach Lowe on the Lowe Post

Windhorst said the majority of the quotes from stars after the games come from the locker room, except in the playoffs. In the playoffs the only chance you get to talk to the stars is at the PC. So a lot of reporters ask the "talk about......" And "how did it feel when ........" questions. However he also said there are sometimes great answers to terrible questions and terrible answers to great questions.

If a kid is sitting there distracting the player and the room, then the lone opportunity they have for comments from the most important players is lost

Yeah I can see where he handcuffed himself with the "never" part of that statement.

It is unprofessional period. This is his job. No matter how many games he plays, he gets paid very well for that. I get up and go to work everyday and to have my kids climbing all over the place there is unprofessional. It was cute the first time, now its just ridiculous.

Yeh I'm cool with it if he said, "Lebron doesnt have the characteristics to win a title YET. However, he will develop those traits over time and possibly win one"

That is a solid quote. But when you say he will never win because he doesnt have "it", you look like an irrational teenage girl when he rolls of two in a row

Personally I am not really all that bothered when some of the players bring their kids in the PC with them. But, I don't think it's being a professional. It's part of your job to do the PC, and having your young kids there is a distraction, and I can see why it would bother some uptight reporters who think highly of themselves. Or are just really professional and would rather to not have the distractions.

boo fricking hoo

now we might not get a canned response of "We haven't really won anything yet. We have to get ready for battle in the Finals. Houston played hard, gotta give them respect. LeBron is going to be a load to handle. Blah blah blah blah."

It's still very unprofessional and disrespectful to bring children to these press conferences. Curry needs to act like a professional.

Could not disagree more. Loved when he brought his daughter to the interview. Shows a human side to the players.

The only difference is, you get to see your kids twice a day. Sometimes they don't see their kids for a week. Maybe more. But I agree its unprofessional.
