truth bombs galore

cliffs:
-Iowa manipulates their schedule for success (similar to Baylor)
-For 20 years, Iowa has never scheduled tough OOC, and now they want respect for coming close in one game
-Iowa never played the three best teams in the conference. Got to the championship game on a "fake ID". ID says theyre 6'2" but theyre 5'6" in person"
-Thank god Michigan State took them out

MSU is about to get their fake ID checked as well. They aren't much better than Iowa.

Why's that? Because they don't have an SEC patch on their jersey?

MSU will give you a better game than most Bama fans expect. For better or worse, MSU plays to the level of their competition. They have the right pieces to play against Bama.

The problem with both of these teams is their ability to score. I don't doubt that Michigan State's defense can more than hold their own against Alabama, Oklahoma and Clemson.

No...? Because they do EXACTLY what Alabama wants their opponent to do on offense. Their defense is good though, I guess.

possibly, if not likely, but i have no problem giving MSU the chance.

their ID might be fake, but its made it through enough quality checks that we should still respect it.

I mean they played 2 power 5 schools this year OOC. I'm not saying they played great teams but I don't know if you can knock them OOC in 2015

I don't expect some slaughter or anything. Their defense is too good and Alabama's offense is too inconsistent for it to be probable that Alabama reaches 30. It could happen, but I highly doubt it. MSU is all but screwed on offense, though. Cook is very overrated, which I feel like nobody talks about. You'll probably laugh at this, but the sense of "we won't be denied goddammit" is pouring off this group. I know I know, every team can say that.

The Oregon team they barely beat at home was legit one of the worst 30 teams in the country at the time. I mean, they fricking SUCKED. Why does everybody ignore that?

I feel like Wisconsin was a lot like this until the last few years, piling up on early cupcakes.

While Cowherd looks and sounds like a used car salesman, I like the substance of much of what he says. The praise for Iowa playing tough in their one big game has seemed a bit overboard to me. If I were an OSU fan, I'd be rustled about the Rose Bowl snub as it seems like everyone wants the lovable corn fans to get their participation trophy.

You said something similar about Ohio State and Va Tech last year and got pushed around and then curb stomped in your own backyard.

Cook was still hurt in that B1G title game IMO. That dude is the reason they may have a shot at beating you guys (and that I can't see Coker picking apart their relative weakness). Their problem is they enter most games with an advantage in the trenches, and that doesn't exist on New Year's Eve.

If Cook shows up, it will be a good game. I too thought he was overrated until I watched him in person light it up in the Big House. They have a good offensive line and tough RBs. Cook can make Bama pay if they stack the box. He does seem to get rattled some times and make questionable decisions while trying to make things happen.
