I still don't think that changes my scenario

You don’t think a smaller than average NFL prospect with a fractured back, coming out in one of best and deepest QB classes in recent memory, changes your scenario?

I actually like Sanders. He’s way better than I assumed he was and think his game translates to the NFL. I couldn’t care less about the Deion nonsense, but Sanders and Hunter made Colorado pretty exciting to watch the 1st 3rd of the season. But with this draft class, even if he was 100% healthy, he could easily wind up in the 2nd round. If he actually does have a fractured back, he could slip even further. Why not come back, get healthy, make more in NIL than his NFL rookie salary, and come back and try to better position himself for the ‘25 draft and help CU and Deion 1 more season.

But I never thought Deion would let him leave anyway. He’s probably worth more to the long-term success of Deion if he goes 1st round than however many wins he leads them to.

He needs to go hit up Dragon Man for some NIL.

Well it certainly won't be Neon's fault.

that’ll make some young guns want a piece of that action for sure.

8 commits for the 24 class right now is really bad.

I really did think he would do well in recruiting at least. Specifically with hs kids i know portal is a big part of things now but you definitely want more than 8 commits and the 65th ranked class going into Dec.

Now i kind of think the portal class will be mediocre too. He certainly isn't gonna get the OL and DL people seem to be expecting there's only so many of those guys to go around.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have as much NIL money as they expected.

UCLA recruits stole the coffer. All the NIL money went to watches, jewelry and sunglasses.

Colorado has just eight high school commitments in the 2024 class weeks away from the early signing period starting Dec. 20.

Auburn had a top 5 ranked portal class this season with 8 4-star transfers and hardly any one of them (on the offensive side anyway) made any real difference. We had 2 MLBs that played significant snaps and one OLB that was decent. The WRs and OL that came in the transfer class did jack shite. And they were big time positions of need.

Having huge portal classes every year is not the way to go. It's fine to plug holes or get some depth, but there's a reason a lot of these guys weren't happy at their old place.

With Prime losing recruits left and right, and with only 3 weeks left to go before early signing period starts, how did he spend the day? Not recruiting

Instead he spent it signing memorabilia in a hotel conference room

The Colorado 24/7 recruiting board is pretty interesting today. Most of the posters are still all in to "Trust Prime!" and are convinced the 2 QB were shown the door because either Underwood or Raiola are secretly committed and coming. In fact, there's number of threads around the "signing day surprises" that are surely coming.

But there are a few posters getting pretty nervous, and starting to realize that if Sanders completely punts on HS recruiting again, and goes full on portal to run out another 1 year team, that probably doesn't bode very well for him caring to stick around after his sons leave.

Exactly how I feel. Our OL was better but nowhere close to what it needs to be.
