Rockets coming all the way from BR to tap that Pels azz. Should give them the right amount of focus to get a +10 point victory over Boogie and Brow.

Couple good reads for my CC brethren today:

Behind the bench article on last CC v Pellies game

As the PA announcer belted out his first “DeMarcus Cousins!” the bench overreacted double takes as if they don’t have Woj trade alerts set on their phone. In terms of trash talking and a battle of the wits, this was perhaps the funniest way of dealing with being the first team facing the Kentucky duo.

You seem mad that no one cares.

Tell me more about how mad you are.

We like the MVP ladder but that's just one guys opinion. And At last glance he didn't even have a vote. We got 106 pollees in this article. Mostly voters at that saying James got this in the bag.

I love how we are getting to see such awesome basketball from 2 players.

I still feel if Westbrook avgs a triple double for the season he will get the MVP. Especially if he breaks the single season record of triple doubles.

I have noticed on TV they are showing how much better OKC is when he has a triple double. They are also talking more about how he does it in the frame work of the team to get the win.

This was the narrative for Harden from the beginning with the numbers he has been putting up. Interesting that they are now talking about it for Westbrook.

You really cannot go wrong with either guy.

If either guy slacks off during the final push the other one will probably win it.

CC Gonna likely finish with #1 offense in league history. And James arguably the best offensive season that the league has ever seen.

Triple double while impressive just doesn't compare.

Just think about that....both things are happening in the same season...great time to be a basketball fan.

If either one was happening without the other, they would be running away with the MVP.

I still think the Triple Double is the sexier narrative to the casual fan and you can see it with the way it is being covered.

One thing that is going to hurt Westbrook is the number of triple doubles that are happening around the league. Marc Gasol got his 2nd triple double last night

What hurts him the most is that his team is just a slightly above average squad. MVP never goes to a player on a team that's not at the top of the conference.

I just realized that Clutch City is a misnomer and Choke City is Houston's actual nickname. It always seemed weird to me given how unsuccessful the Rockets have been in recent history.

No. Choke City and Clutch City came about at the same time.

Eddie Sefko wrote the article titled "Choke City" in 1994 after the Rockets blew a 20 point 4th quarter lead to the Suns in the playoffs. He also mentioned other times that the Oilers, Astros, and U of H blew a lead over the years.

Well, the Rockets came back and won the series and the championship.

The rallying cry became Clutch City.

"Choke City" was a short-lived title.

That lends more credence to the Choke City title.

3rd most wins. No championships.

Oh how about most comebacks from down 3-1 of any NBA franchise?
