re: Clay Travis: What's this board's take on him ?

It was simply a cross promotion interview. The show also has several characters that are heavy into sports and the writer did Love and Basketball way back when. ESPN has had celebs come on FOR YEARS to promote their shite. This was no different than the umpteen times they've done it before. Bill OReilly was on LeBatard to promote his book too yet this board and people like Clay didn't melt over that. This was all gone over before in the original thread when this snowflake arse board was shitting itself over it.

I explained it in the thread this board was melting in when this first happened. I'm not going to go back over all that shite again.

Neither one of those chicks are celebs.
I, and probably 99% of the MSB wouldn't be able to tell you whom either of those women are.

His hot takes about sports betting are some of his funniest material. Dude rarely knows what the frick he is talking about.

Yes they are and tough shite if you don't know who they are. I don't know who plenty of celebs are but that doesn't change that they are celebs.

How convenient for you. But please do so again I'd love to see you try to spin the 3 statements he made in one tweet that were all indisputable facts as a misrepresentation.

Lol, even if they are celebs it has zero business being on Sportscenter, a show which has single-handedly driven their supposed demographic away.
No one cares about that shite aside from apparently your fairy feminist arse.

To be fair, people on this website love to talk about "what celebs they don't pay attention to or do not know". It's a sense of pride.

Lol I just remember him melting when JR hit a trash time three at the end of one of the games to push a bet he had. He melted so hard

Sometimes he is a great voice of reason, and calls it likes he sees it. Other times, he can be a bit of a douche and pushes the shtick a bit too far.

Again, celebs have been going on to Sportscenter for nearly 20 years now. Why is it only now a big deal? This isn't a new thing at all.

Nobody was watching it anymore which is why they changed the format. You aren't the demo they are chasing. People just don't give a frick about sports highlight shows anymore. If they did, the Fox Sports 1 show that was a carbon copy of 90s Sportscenter would have taken off instead of getting canceled.
Sportscenter was done as soon as it became easy to stream high quality highlights on the internet. I'm not sure why people can't comprehend that. Couple that w/hot take debate shows being the only sports programming aside from live games that draw ratings and here we are. This isn't complicated.

See my above answer. There is no reason for SC anymore so I don't watch it.

Very intelligent. Does not believe most of what he says.
I am in his "target" demographic based on my location, age, beliefs, etc. and a lot of what he says is in line with what I think. He has obviously done a great job of capitalizing on the huge overkill of "PC culture" especially among sports fans who seem to be more right leaning.
I work with a guy who knows him well though and he says that most of his material is just him playing a character.

Ironic that as a national mouthpiece, I pretty much tune him out. When he was on 104.5 in Nashville I tuned in almost every day.
That shite was always funny. Blaine Bishop (former hit-man Titans safety) and the other dude in the band are still good, but alongside Clay it was gold, Jerry.
