mad/surprised at what, exactly? That I don't follow politics?

Figured Chris Chrstie would at least generate some sort of recognition. I know several people IRL who don't give 2 shits about politics, so not that either

Why does that even matter?

Where did say it mattered? Not sure why I'm getting your ire.

Seriously. There are plenty of things that I am knowledgable about that other people may not be. That doesn't make them stupid because of it.

When it's something that actually has an effect on your life like politics, it's good to have a basic knowledge of who is who in order to vote with your conscience.

Just because you're not interested in politics doesn't mean politics isn't interested in you.

So? If he wasn't you'd attack him too, but since he's an admin you just let him be?

I pay attention to politics every 4 years when the presidential candidates start debating on TV, because I find that interesting.

That doesn't mean I'm going to research everyone's history or familiarize myself with everyone who may even potentially run for a high office.

That's not basic knowledge IMO. But it's whatever.

"Basic, public, common knowledge" implies something that MOST people would easily know. MOST, as in, the overwhelming majority of. Such as the president, or how many states there are.

The governor of motherfricking new jersey isn't "basic, public, common knowledge".

Obviously my fault that I have higher standards for what I consider to be basic, public, common knowledge even concerning politics. No wonder we're 18 trillion in debt.

Why does it bother you if a dude you have never and will never met doesn't choose to vote?

It doesn't. You not voting is of no consequence at all or damaging to anything.

What if I decided to vote just on a whim and ended up voting for a guy you don't support?

When it's not an informed vote, there is plenty of problems with that.

I mean I know a shite ton about football but I'm not gonna think someone is stupid for not knowing who Aaron Rodgers is if they don't care about sports.

I know politics is more important to real life than sports but its also more boring to me

I missed the reasoning on why we're 18 trillion in debt. Can you elaborate?

From the outside looking in, it looks like all you geniuses who pay attention to politics and vote in the primaries are picking these wonderful choices for president.

I've had some bad experiences on other boards and really just hedge my bets in this regard. Let's leave it at that.

That's a good thing.

Even most political junkies don't focus on every candidate. A typical congressman's race will have 1-3 players established and those will get the brunt of attention and vetting by even the casul observer.

Btw, I would pay more attention to local politics as all politics is local and the locals can really frick with you more than the Feds or state can.

Kinda like a few years back, as Jordan Jefferson went through ESPN's "Carwash" and when challenged to identify famous Jeffersons, Identified the photo of Thomas Jefferson as "George."

Thanks but uh, This is exactly what an admin would say.

Anyway, someone just post the gif and be done with it. I hate that fat bastard so much, I just want to get a laugh out of him.
