and unless you're living under a rock, you'd have heard of the bridge scandal or rumblings of the presidential campaign

Do you not pay attention to national news?

He was in the news many times throughout '14.

Current events sure. As it relates to politics? Nope, absolutely could not care less.

I hope you never ever vote. This is like basic, public, common knowledge.

He's been in Dallas a lot. My gf and I saw him at a Dallas restaurant the week before Christmas.

what a lame excuse not to vote. People died many years ago for you to have the right to vote. If you are a true American then you owe it to those who came before us to vote for the people that you want to represent you at all levels of politics.

And legit presidential contender ( ) and a very dominant force in the republican party. He spearheaded the RNC efforts this past midterm.

You're really living under a rock.

Until the time comes that I actively research and become knowledgeable about all candidates, I won't.

Don't be retarded. Basic, public, common knowledge:

-president
-how many states
-when was the declaration of independence signed
-governor of new jersey

Yeah, seems legit.

Yep. I despise American Politics (and I actually don't like talking about it publicly), but I at least do some research/reading as to what's going on. Hated the D/Rs last election, so happily supported a 3rd party guy since that's who I best agreed with.

Just to back you up, I had no idea who he was and couldn't have picked him out of a lineup. I don't follow politics really at all, and keep up with national news but don't pay much attention to most of it.

Also, a no vote is a million times better than an uneducated one.

All you people saying he's an idiot for not knowing (or not voting) are pretty fricking ridiculous.

Really? I guess I could've just voted for someone belonging to the same party as my parents (like many young adults do), or vote for someone just based on the color of their skin (like a shite ton of people have done in recent memory).

Oh for frick's sake. I'm not a true american? Someone who's been here since birth, went to college, paid my way, got a job, obey the law, etc etc etc because I don't check a box every few years?

I would be doing the country a bigger disservice by blindly voting for someone I don't know anything about. And I flat out don't care about politics or candidates, so I don't care enough to do that.
