you cant have season long threads. Should have just made a maddon post.
Well shite. If there's one thing this board needs it's a bunch of random threads started about one topic ad nauseum.

Agreed. How many maddon threads were there? At least 3.

More fuel to the Martin fire. Sounds like five years is a real possibility. Mentions the McCann deal as a comparison. Not to rehash but 5 is too many.

cubs to go after aging catcher.

John from cubs den hears different. Says folks he talked to like Martin but think the cost is going to be too steep when compared to value.

Even more fuel to the fire. Looks like a meeting has been setup for next week with Martin and his agent. I agree with you. 5 years is too much.

Bump. Pretty active weekend.

Cubs rumored to be front-runner for Russell Martin. 4 years $65M is what's being thrown around. Gammons and Rosenthal now mentioned Blue Jays are still very in the mix.

Cubs trade VIzcaino to the Braves for 2B La Stella. Could mean Castro is on the way out. Could also be a precursor to a Valbueno move.

Only Castro rumors swirling are related to the Mets, which could just be the old stuff being kicked up again.

Winter meetings are a couple weeks away.
