We need Grimm to get back sooner rather than later. Is Szczur taking Denorfia's spot?

It looks like it. Denorfia's headed to the DL for sure.

Kris Bryant is being pitched to like he's been in the league for five years. He's got 16 BB on the season (4 BB last night) in 16 games. That's good for 6th in the NL already; the other players ahead of him have played in at least 24 games.

I saw on Twitter that Starlin Castro's batted ball velocity is 87.2 mph, which is third worst on the team behind Dexter Fowler and Jonathan Herrera.

I don't know what to say about last night's loss. The hits of Rosscup were just unlucky. Strop is the one who should be lit on fire. No reason for shitty pitching like that.

As long as you don't start quoting all his tweets about what trendy chocolate flavor beer he's drinking that day.

If you're referring to the Cubs,

If the Cards, 1 run is doable most nights. Getting down 5 and coming back is monumental.

I do some of my own research, sure. But some of it is done for me on Twitter, too.

I don't cover the team as my full time job, so I do use professionals' information here a lot. I like to take it, digest it a little and talk about it here and debate what it means and what it could mean.

I think Maddon should move Bryant to the 2 hole. If pitchers are going to pitch around him, at least give Rizzo a shot to do some damage behind him. Plus, with Russell in the 9 hole, he'd be like a 3 hole hitter if Russell and/or Fowler are getting on base.

But the offense wasn't the problem last night. I think Grimm will be on the fast track back to Chicago.

There's no chance this will happen. Bryant has been driving in plenty of runs because Rizzo is getting on base also. He's 5th in all of baseball in OBP. The reason they "pitched around" Bryant last night was because Rizzo wasn't on base any of the times that Bryant hit. The same would happen if Bryant were in front of Rizzo and not getting on base.

That is the whole thought process around slotting Soler in the 2 hole. Has worked great all season. Soler has just been in a slump and is starting to work his way out of it.

It's only a matter of time before Soler and Bryant start really mashing. It's going to be incredible.

What's insane is that Torres is only 18 and he could get to A+ ball this year.
