I kinda want Hamels and Papelbon, TBH.

Phillies will probably pay some of the contract if the prospect package is nice.

We will go after another SP this FA class, price will be higher and longer terms than Hamels.

I also like the sound of that. I just fear Papeldouche messing with team chemistry, and it would also mean that Rondon would move to the 8th inning.

Amaro Jr. already said they'd eat some of it to increase the prospect return (but he's also not really attached to reality)...then he called philly fans stupid.

I don't like papelbon, but would love to have hamels.

I would love Hamels, but I fear the asking price will be too high.

That needs to change a week ago. I really can't understand why he's still in that spot.

Actually, should never have happened. All he's hitting this year are grounders...aka double play balls and we put him fourth behind Rizzo and Bryant who walk a lot. c'mon Madden, I love you man, but.....

That's from apirl of this year...so maybe it gets realistic by july. I just don't see this FO (especially this year) getting fleeced. Many have said amaro feels he has to 'win the trade' to deal hamels.

I agree. They have a very strategic plan in place.

Check this out

Kyle Schwarber

Also, Keith Law says in his video that he thinks there is a chance he gets called up this year as he is our best option in LF

Like most outside of the Cubs’ organization, Keith Law does not think Kyle Schwarber’s future is behind the plate.

booo. Not surprising though.

I could see it. Hopefully they send him to AAA soon though.

He might help the Cubs in LF this year but long term I think they still want him at catcher. And that's perfectly fine by me.

Putting a great (potential) hitter behind the plate can be dangerous. I'm sure it's happened, but I can't think of anything recent where a guy was moved from C to LF and then successfully moved back. The Braves tried to do it with Gattis, but it didn't stick. Harper was also a C to LF switch.

Lester put a charge into one, but only got it to the track. Now 0 for 58, worst in MLB history.

Strange lineup tonight. Lake in for Soler, and Fowler in the cleanup spot with Coghlan leading off. With Ross catching, the power bats are pretty much Rizzo and Bryant.

We are putting the bat on the ball tonight. Just gotta get the big hit to score a run or two.

Runner on 2nd and 1 out, and Ross is trying to bunt with Lester on deck.

That's pretty dumb.

Lester was good tonight but Scherzer really outshined him big time

Maybe we can get to their bullpen if they don't get to ours

Can't blame Lester. They scored on an overthrow to first that should've been a double play. And he gave up an opposite field solo shot to the best hitter in the game right now.

Scherzer is better than Lester and the Nats lineup is better than the Cubs, so it's not a surprise that he out pitched him.
