La Stella's actions since being demoted are pretty awful. Assuming he is just upset by the decision and isn't really having family issues, he should have reported. KB didn't pout when he didn't break camp with the Cubs last year. The Grimm Reaper reported after demotion. So did Adam Warren. It happens. The guy with options is getting demoted. Suck it up.

I totally understand LaStella being unhappy with the move. I think a lot of people would agree LaStella is the better option. I even understand the club initially giving him a couple of days to cool off.
However, there is a business side of baseball that no one really likes and this is a transaction that can happen from time to time, and while it's unfortunate for Tommy, he needs to suck it up and join the I-Cubs. It is BS that he hasnt't yet reported, and he won't get back to Chicago any time soon if he isn't playing in Iowa.

I don't know what he thinks he's gonna accomplish. Get traded back to the Braves for a bucket of baseballs? If anything he's gonna keep himself off the playoff roster if they fear he's gonna be a whiny baby in the clubhouse.

Yeah, everyone understands him being upset and the Cubs were even courteous enough to give him extra time to report. But the longer this goes on the more his welcome will be worn out if and we he returns.

Yeah, I don't get it either. He had his little temper tantrum and I agree in any circumstance I think he should be the choice over Coughlan at this point in their careers, I think the option BS can be worked around for the sake of the better player.
But act like a grown man, the Cubs made a mistake as far as I'm concerned, but it's done. They even let you have your little tantrum publicly and delay reporting for assignment. Put your grown man britches on and go to Iowa.
