Fair enough, but that still has nothing to do with what I posted

I think you know what I'm saying. Went to my first Cubs game of the year last month and not much has changed despite the pennant race - Tons of people are still there to look at their iPhones and socialize and kick off their night. I swear there were a group of 20 somethings section over and I don't think they collectively watched more than ten pitches

1) that is such a tired fricking refrain

2) I've split time between the bleachers and grandstand a bunch this year, and the bleacher are actually the rowdiest, most into the game fans in the place...the heckling is relentless and fantastic

3) the above "tired fricking refrain" implies that all fans for all other teams (the ones that draw far fewer fans to both their home and road games) are all keeping score cards while monitoring the status of the minor league prospects between innings...which is, of course, bullshite. Fact is, those other teams (cardinals included) need to turn their experience into a carnival to get people to show, need to splash up "MAKE SOME NOISE" on the jumbotron, have fireworks after the game, dog day, 70s day, and who knows what else (the last three are all things the White Sox do).

I'm mad at myself for putting this much time into a response, but I just have little tolerance for stupidity.

Good grief. People look at phones and socialize. Therefore they can't be fans.

All fans of all other teams actually valet check their phones when they enter the stadium. #FACT

What? He posts in the Cubs threads all the time. Definitely a true fan.

You just come in and post mate and talk about betting, which we don't care about.

Also, Addison is mashing today.

I'd be fine if we stopped playing Who Let the Dogs Out on homeruns.

This roster is so fluid, and it is awesome. Bryant has played 3B and across the entire outfield. Baez at 3B today. Castro's shift to second.

I wish Montero was in today.

Arrieta 8 more shutout innings. ERA now a microscopic 2.03.

Arrieta has not given up an earned run in six of his seven last starts. At this moment, he is the best pitcher in baseball. Yes, he is currently pitching better than Kershaw.

The Nationals have a better record than the Giants. The Nationals also have a super easy rest of schedule season. There is like a 95% chance the Cubs make the playoffs, but I think second place from the NL East is our biggest threat.

Yea but tge nats will catch the mets before they catch us. If I w er e to worry which I'm not because this is done just a matter of shuffling the placement, I'd only worry about the Giants.
