Watching the Senior Bowl on NFL Network. Teams change Possession after the 1st and 3rd Quarters. Will we ever see it incorporated in the NFL or CFB someday?

It provides another commercial break, so probably.

How? You go to commercial at the end of quarters regardless

Change of possessions? So it's 1st and 10 on your own five yard line, 5 seconds left in the quarter. You punt the ball to the other team so they get possession, clock winds out, then you get the ball in the fourth quarter when possession changes again?

It would be the team that starts the quarter with the ball

Don't give EA any ideas. That will be a glitch in Madden 18.

How would that change the strategy when you win the toss?

We talking about having a kickoff to open each quarter?
I figure the League wanted less kickoffs, not create a way to have more.

Because with change of possession wouldn't you do another kickoff?

After kickoffs we have commercials.

So end of quarter, commercial, kickoff, commercial

As opposed to current end of quarter, commercial

Put 2 minutes on the clock and kick off.
When the clock hits 0:00 put 2 more minutes on the clock.
The team that received first kicks off to the other team.

Repeat this 15 times per half.

Or instead of alternating kickoffs, do it like cricket:

One team receives all 15 kickoffs the first half then they kick off all 15 times the second half.
