2019 - Arkansas HC (fired)
2020 - Auburn OC (fired)
2021 - Allen HS (fired)
2022 - USF analyst (fired)
2023 - Clemson analyst (TBD, just suffered one of their worst losses in a decade)

Fired as a head coach twice (once in high school for ending several winning streaks at Allen High School), gotten two head coaches fired (Gus and Jeff Scott), and been part of one of the worst losses in a decade for Clemson.

Technically, he "resigned" from Allen but it was because he was going to get fired.

He had it in his contract that school staff couldn't speak to him unless he spoke to them.

Is it true that his family never moved to Fayetteville?

I live in Allen and you can’t say his name around here. He set this program back 5 years and he was here only 10 months

Allen is a proud program that had a 15 year run of winning district. Same coaching, same philosophy, etc. Previous coach retired and Morris came in and cleaned house, brought in his own guys and changed everything. 10 months later he chases money back to college and everyone else leaves and Allen is left with nothing. Also had 20+ players quit or leave the district

Since he’s left they went 7-4 and are now 0-2 (both losses at home. They had lost 2 home games combined in the last 12 years). It’s a very sore subject.

They had it rolling and he burned it to the ground. I also blame the superintendent for hiring him in the first place.

Yes.

They stayed in Dallas.

The dumb bastard would even travel to Dallas on Friday nights (the nights before our games, mind you) for his kid’s games and fly back the next morning to be with the team.

He even had our staff breaking down film of his kid and his kid’s high school opponents for his kid’s coach.

I don't believe that. Dumb internet rumor. No way he would be allowed to have that in his contract.

How the hell does this guy continue to get hired??

He’s made a ton of money off Clemson’s national championship run that he had absolutely nothing to do with.

Allen struggled to find consistency in Morris' first season, as the high school lost its first-ever home game since opening its new stadium in 2012. The Eagles also snapped an 84-game regular-season winning streak before losing to Southlake Carroll in the state regional finals. The 11-3 record was the worst mark at Allen since 2005.

oof

Bingo, they should have hired someone off the old staff.

Clemson made LSU look like redzone kings with their play last night: 3 separate 1st and goals from inside 5 and zero points.

Yes. Chad bought a huge house but lived in the pool house portion.

Source is from an employee at the school. The staff hated him as well.

It’s wild because he didn’t seem like a complete failure at SMU. Something at Arkansas completely broke him and he hasn’t recovered. I don’t know how you go from being a HC at an SEC school and less than 5 years later you’re likely not going to get hired by anyone in the sport

I’m not saying he’s a great coach or anything, but Belima had that roster packed with tight ends and no wrs. He wasn’t allowed enough time in my opinion.

He wasn’t fired from Allen. He had to step down b/c Arkansas said it didn’t count as a job that would offset his buyout.

To be fair, that was on the players. The drive it down Duke's throats twice only to fumble inside the 10. Nothing wrong with the play calls. Your backs/QB have to execute. They didn't.

Now, the kicking game looked like LSU in 2022

I agree he wasn’t a complete failure back then, his SMU teams were improving but in 3 years he went:

2-10
5-7
7-5

I never got how that landed him an SEC job in the toughest division of college football

He and Butch Jones are impressive. The fact they keep getting a job is mind boggling
