I don't understand the Drummond hype
Kid is big and very athletic. I watched him all year, and saw a lazy player that had no heart. He had 2 pts, 4 rbs against Iowa St., who had a 6'8" center. I know why the scouts rate him highly, but I have seen him enough to say he very well may be a bust. He needs to go back to UConn and learn some toughness from Calhoun. I don't think the kid really cares though.

I have a hard time believing McAdoo would be taken that high but apparently Ford has talked to Gm's that have hinted at this. As a Rockets fan I DO NOT WANT AUSTIN RIVERS. I don't see this kid ever being apart of a good team with chemistry. He seems like a cancer to me. I'd take Henson, but he may stay in school.
5 Tarheels before the 1st DOOKIE, sounds about right to me!

Meh, if he enters now, he'll be where Thabeet is now in 5 years. Not comparing their games or numbers, but only where he'll be. The only rebounds he gets are the ones that falls into his hands and he looks like he's never seen a basketball when they give it to him in the post.

I generally agree, but the biggest thing that Drummond needs to learn is to be the toughest mfer on the floor. I think Calhoun can teach him that. Skill sets are better learned under NBA tutelage though.

Exactly.

not necessarily
thabeet just doesn't give a frick and is tall (without athleticism)
look at bynum. he was similar to drummond at the same age
college is bad for development

he doesn't have to be this
he needs to have desire to get better. college or pro is irrelevant, really. it's his choice
he's going to be as good as he wants to be, basically.

Tony Mitchell is barely outside the first round ?

That's not the guy from Bama.

I could see Tyshawn Taylor possibly sneaking into the first round

Yes, but right now I don't see a kid that really wants to be anything. Maybe he can get that from Calhoun. Realistically, it is probably not something that can be taught or imparted.

it's not
some guys love that first contract and maybe a few followups (thabeet)
some guys put in just enough to get a solid 2nd contract (deandre jordan)
some guys put in work and become beasts (bynum, amare, etc)

Good catch. I just came back to eat crow and see my mistake.

as a Hornets fan id rather Barnes than Robinson
and Drummond is not very good. He is soft as shite.

Really?
I'm a die hard Tar Heel fan ... and I don't think Harrison should be drafted in the top 5. His ball handling is iffy, at best, and his shot is very inconsistant.

A little biased but pretty surprised sullinger slipped to 13

Mcadoo at 7?
really? sure he's got potential but i dont see him going that high
a lot of questionable projections

Agreed. McAdoo should come back and work on his shot. He can't make that 10-15 footer for shite.

Yeah I can see the potential, unfortunately for UNC for next year McAdoo is playing really well right now. Hopefully not well enough for him to get cocky about his draft status and make a decision he might regret.

I wouldn't want Austin Rivers on my team. He's not all that good to begin with.
