Pretty easy to go back to school after you leave the NFL. An extra year making 1,000,000 or a free 20,000 scholarship?

Everyone knows NFL teams love to draft based on upside, I don't see how an extra year of the spread offense in the big 10 is going to drastically improve his draft stock.

This. If Jones doesn't get game time over JT or say Braxton, then he'll look worse than he does now.

If he does win the starting job but gets benched, he looks worse than he does now.

If he wins the starting job and doesn't look improved, he looks worse then he does now.

I know Jones didn't get a NFL draft evaluation, but I think he could have matched Tom Savage's 1st pick in the 4th round status. That's a 4 year contract worth 2.52 million dollars with a $300,000 signing bonus.

Hope he makes sure to get that degree.

The NFL drafts on potential. He still has the same potential. His measurables are prototypical NFL QB. That won't change.

EJ Manuel was a first round pick.

Josh Freeman was a first round pick.

These guys, especially EJ, were not that great in college.

There are a bunch more examples.

So you think the nfl will forget about what he did?

He still will get a shot. It's his choice, let him live his life.

He will get meaningful time next year. No question

The lies we continue to tell kids an about bachelor degrees

Take your millions while it's there.

Dudes like CJ aren't made for academia, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but let's not pretend like they are..

He's already set by winning the NC at Ohio State. Let's be honest if we're being honest.

Not saying you're wrong. He wants his daughter to see him doing things the right way. You can't fault him for trying. Especially with his upbringing.

I was proud of him today. Right or wrong, he did it for the right reasons

That's the problem, the morally "right" reasons are sometimes beyond stupid.

Telling kids to stay in school when they have elite professional athletic abilities is a sham.

Those abilities aren't going anywhere.

If I were him, I'd be gone. But I'm not a father and wasn't raised how he was.

As an Ohio State fan it doesn't matter I just want what's best for him. Well see how it plays out. He's a stand up guy thus far. As much as you want to downplay his college experience, it changed his life for the better, no question

Nope, that's why he won't be successful cause he's a dumb decision maker getting manipulated by a selfish coach using him
