Can you place bets online for the Vegas books?

I have never attempted betting on football before. How does it work for folks outside of Vegas? Not interested in visiting John down by the river.

Nope, but almost all of the vevas sports books offer mobile betting now through apps, if you know how to change your phone's location

I read that the software Vegas sportsbooks use makes this very very hard to do.

Need to be within the state of Nevada, doesn't have to be Las Vegas. I have a William Hill account but I can only make wagers when I am physically in Nevada. But I can view odds and check payouts from anywhere.
