Going into the season, I've always assumed the Thunder would make a midseason move if they were in the hunt in spite of Durant's departure.

I never hear OKC when it comes to possible teams to trade for Carmelo. Do they even have the resources to get him?

Melo would have to waive his no trade clause. Lala ain't moving to OKC.

The "They both need the ball to be dominant" narrative is exaggerated. Carmelo would do just fine with Russell.

They aren't in the hunt. They'll lose in the first round in five games as the 6 or 7 seed. It would be stupid to give up any future assets to possibly have an outside chance of making the second round.

They are in the hunt as much as anyone else he could be traded to. Why not?

Which teams have they been mentioning? A team like the Clippers doesn't have any young assets outside of Griffin and draft picks, they are pretty much in win now mode. That's about the only team that makes sense to me. Including Griffin in the trade is dumb, the Knicks would just have to be willing to accept pennies on the dollar back in value.

There isn't much point in sacrificing the future to get marginally better with still no real title chances.

The Thunder just have up 130 points, and you think Melo would be a good fit with this team?

If I were an NBA GM, I'm not touching Melo with a 10 ft pole.

I mean it was the Warriors. They've got the 7th best defense in the league right now.

There's nothing OKC can do to make themselves contenders. Only 3 teams are contenders, and nothing is going to change that barring serious injuries.

Knicks legit don't want shot back, they want from out that 23 mil a year contract and they want to hand the team over to kp officlly. Really the best thing they can do is get nothing back, tank and draft fox \ a real pg
